Recent years have witnessed more Chinese firms shining on the global stage with innovative technologies like 5G and artificial intelligence, reflecting China's progress in moving from a production-driven economy to a consumer-driven economy. China Media Group announced on Sunday its picks of China's 10 most cutting-edge brands in 2019, among which are the world's largest drone maker DJI Technology, short-video app TikTok, and e-commerce platform Pinduoduo. Huawei was crowned as the 'Brand of the year' for its pursuit of technological innovation, especially in the field of 5G development. According to the company, a total of 40 commercial 5G networks have been launched in more than 20 markets up to October, while another 60 are expected by the end of 2019. Chinese enterprises have been growing as big players on the world stage, with their brand value booming vigorously. China's e-commerce giant Alibaba and tech leader Tencent were ranked among the world's 10 most valuable brands in a June report compiled by global communication services provider WPP. China Media Group has also been riding the tide of innovation. The group has launched its first 5G new media platform called Yangshipin in November, which is capable of producing 4K ultra high-definition videos, as well as live streaming. |
