SHENZHEN, Dec. 28 -- Five people were killed and one another was injured seriously after a crane collapsed at a construction site in southern Chinese city of Shenzhen Monday, local government said. The accident took place at about 3:40 p.m. at the construction site in Shenzhen's Bao'an District, the city government said in a statement. It did not reveal the identities of the victims. The injured is being treated at a local hospital and described in stable condition. Police have detained five people in charge of the construction project, the statement said. Local authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, it said. |
