ISLAMABAD, Nov. 16 -- At least 290 people including 35 women and 70 youngsters have been killed in five suicide attacks, targeted killing and mysterious killing in Pakistan's garrison city of Rawalpindi and its outskirts in 2009, the local news agency NNI reported Monday. Police buried 25 unidentified dead bodies and still their dependents have not been identified in the city adjoining the capital city of Islamabad. In mysterious killing 5 percent were very serious that is why their body parts had thrown after crushing, sources said. Sources said that police have traced 75 percent cases while remaining 25 percent have not been traced so for. Sources in police department said that the killing rate is increasing day-by-day due to score of refugees and presence of paid killers in Rawalpindi. At least 30 percent people have been killed in street crimes and burglaries this year. Sources said that the Rawalpindi police have requested Frontier police and Frontier Constabulary for help in the arrest of culprits. |
