MOSCOW, Sept. 25 -- About 150 members of the European Parliament (MEP) are to take part in the first MEP Games in Moscow from Oct. 1 to Oct. 5, local media reported. The lawmakers will compete in such sports as table tennis, tennis, chess and 5-a-side football, a spokesperson for the Moscow city hall said on Friday, adding that most of the competition will take place at the Luzhniki Sports Complex. The Games is aimed to strengthen relations between MEPs from different countries and to develop sports and physical education, the spokesperson said. |
