SHANGHAI, Sept. 20 -- American Tyson Gay clocked a season best time of 9.69 seconds to win the men's 100 meters at the Shanghai Golden Grand Prix here on Sunday. Gay, who finished second behind Usain Bolt at the world championships, improved his season best of 9.71 clocked in Berlin by 0.02 seconds with an assisting wind of 2.0 meters per second. Former world record holder of Jamaica Asafa Powell was second in 9.85 seconds and American Darvis Patton was third in 9.89 seconds. |
