BUDAPEST, July 25 -- Lewis Hamilton of McLaren-Mercedes was fastest in the final free practice session on Saturday in the Hungarian Formula One Grand Prix. The defending world champion, who was also quickest in Friday practice, registered a time of 1 minute 21.009 seconds for the 4.381-kilometre Hungaroring circuit with BMW-Sauber's Nick Heidfeld 0.399 seconds slower in second spot. Nico Rosberg in a Williams was third fastest followed by Heikki Kovalainen in the second McLaren. Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel could only manage 10th while Button was a disappointing 17th. Button holds a comfortable lead in the standings after nine races with 68 points. Vettel sits second with 47. |
