US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama arrived here Saturday afternoon on Air Force One for a three-day visit to India, said local TV channel CNN-IBN. The US president was met at the airport by Indian Minister of State for Corporate Affairs Salman Kurshid and Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashock Chavan. He then flew to an Indian navy base in the southern Mumbai district of Colaba by an American Black Hawk military helicopter, before driving to the Taj Hotel amid heavy security.
